The first inspiration from this lookbook was derived from the iconic movie Pretty Woman, without our model being a prostitute of course. We mainly wanted to focus on an average girl living this luxurious life for a day. She’s inside a mansion literally having a party by herself with all these amazing clothes. It’s kind of like every girl’s dream, right?
The first time I heard about the idea of trying to shoot at Paris Hilton’s house I told the team they were shooting for the stars…literally. So, hearing that we got the place I was ecstatic! I think for the most part during the shoot, I was trying not to drool over each room. After the shoot, all I wanted to do was redecorate my house.
The best part of the shoot for me was definitely the balloon scene. It literally involved 6 people on all fours grabbing and throwing the balloons, while dodging the camera and avoiding hitting the model in the face. I’m sure there’s an awesome behind the scenes shot of us looking like mad men floating around somewhere. Hopefully nobody finds it.
A thunderstorm surprised us while we were shooting on the roof, but actually, in a weird way, worked out to our benefit. Made SoCal definitely feel more winter-ish with the gray skies and wind, I’d like to say we planned it that way but I’ll give credit to Mother Nature, along with the rainbow.
